Szu-hsien Lee, Associate Professor in Music Department at NSYSU, received her Ph. D. in Music Composition and Theory from University of California, Los Angeles in 2004. Dr. Lee has received honors and recognition for her original compositions. Her music compositions for concerts won many prizes including Composition Contest held by Taipei City Traditional Chinese Orchestra, Music Taipei Composition Contest, and were selected for the British-Taipei Cultural Exchange Concert, and the Young Star Series held by the National Cultural Center. Dr. Lee’s concert works have been performed in Taiwan, Japan, USA, Germany, and many cities in China. She also has a diversity of interests in musical expressions, including for example dance, theatre, film and multi-media. She is currently the resident composer of Baroque Camerata, the resident chamber orchestra of NSYSU. Her music album arranged for BC were nominated in Taiwan Gold Melody Award 2007 and 2010.
