2025 Seres Puentes International Award and HfE Distinguished Lecture

Serenella Iovino has been named the recipient of the 2025 Seres Puentes International Award

This award is an academic lifetime achievement award presented by the Humanities for the Environment North American Observatory at Arizona State University for her significant contributions to the field of environmental humanities.

Iovino is a prominent figure in ecocriticism and environmental ethics, known for her work on material ecocriticism and Italian studies. She is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has authored several influential books, including Ecocriticism and Italy: Ecology, Resistance, and Liberation, which has won multiple awards.
